Scott Tennant is one of the most accomplished guitarists of his generation. He is one of the founding members of the Grammy-award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. In addition he has recorded numerous solo albums in his decorated career. He is also the author of one of the most important classical guitar pedagogy texts of the last several decades, Pumping Nylon. Scott is on the Faculty at both USC Thornton School of Music and Pasadena Conservatory of Music.

I have just had the pleasure of listening to this podcast. I have and use Pumping Nylon, and it is great to hear a little of the back story of why it was prepared, and some of Scott’s background. The piece at the end was so very cool.
